Get free accessCompanies spend years and real budget building a brand customers recognize: a name, a logo, a voice that feels the same everywhere. Then a rep picks up the phone to call that same customer, and none of it shows up. The recipient sees a string of digits, sometimes flagged "Scam Likely," and the call goes to voicemail or gets ignored.
According to Aircall's internal launch data, unknown numbers get ignored at scale, and answer rates can drop 40 to 60% once a number is flagged by a carrier. For sales, support, and success teams, that's lost revenue and a broken customer experience, call after call.
Aircall's new Branded Caller ID closes that gap at the source.
What does Branded Caller ID do?
When a customer places an outbound call from an enrolled Aircall number, the recipient sees the calling company's name and logo on their phone screen before they even answer. Not a mystery number, a call that visibly comes from a business they already know.
Once a number is enrolled, branding is fully automatic. Reps keep calling exactly as they do today. What changes is how the call looks on the other end.
Why call branding matters
Recipients have been trained not to answer unknown numbers, thanks to years of robocalls and spam. That default punishes every legitimate business calling from a standard number. Branded Caller ID flips it: instead of asking someone to trust an unfamiliar number, it shows them something they already recognize.
Per Aircall's coverage data, roughly 90% of US mobile subscribers are on carriers that support branded display, so most people your team calls will see the brand. Calls always connect either way. Display is additive, never a dependency.
Set up Branded Caller ID in 5 steps
Submit your legal business name, address, and supporting documents. Create display names (up to 32 characters) and assign them to Aircall numbers. Logo upload is optional.
Aircall verifies brand ownership and identity from your documents.
The submission goes to the carrier network for approval, trackable in the Dashboard. Vetting can take up to 10 business days; once approved, branding goes live automatically.
Reps call as usual. The brand appears automatically.
Track pick-up rates for branded vs. non-branded numbers directly in the new Numbers Performance report.
What it costs
$0.08 per branded call, charged only when branding is successfully delivered to the recipient's device, whether or not the call is answered. No plan restriction, no contract amendment.
The takeaway
Outbound calling has mostly been a numbers game: dial more, expect a percentage to answer. Branded Caller ID makes the platform work to get each call answered instead of leaving it to volume. For a brand that already shows up consistently on your website, email, and support channels, your phone calls can finally match.
